Mac Users Now Benefit from Microsoft Online Services

Mac users are now among those who can benefit from Microsoft Business Productivity Online Services (BPOS) Sign-In application as announced on the Microsoft BPOS blog.

While the core of BPOS services can be accessed from any web browser regardless of Operating System, the Mac Sign-In application permits signing into a user's BPOS account once for access to all services.  Without the Mac Sign-In application a user would be prompted for login credentials for each  BPOS service, including  Outlook Web Access, SharePoint Portal, and Office Live Communications.  It also provides a convenient clickable icon for launching each of these services.

"The Mac Sign-In application has been released and is now available for download from the Microsoft Download Center.

"The Sign-In Application provides a convenient way for users with computers using the Apple Macintosh operating system to access their e-mail and data on the Microsoft Online Services platform. The Mac Sign-In application was announced with the October Service Update as part of the expanded Mac support for the Business Productivity Online Suite, and the application was made available as part of a preview program for early adoption and testing.

"More information about the expanded support for Mac can be found in theMicrosoft Online Services Macintosh Support Service Description, which also can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center."
